Good Morning 😊

I hope you are having a good start to your week ✨️

Sometimes the day to day can be a bit much and thats totally normal and its okay to feel some type of way about it.

Emotions show that you care about things, what matters is how we manage that energy!

Will you take that energy and do something with it? Make a change, appreciate those around you, enjoy the little things?

The choice is yours ✨️

3 Over-rated things in the hobby 🤣

1) Co2 systems, while they can be beneficial for certain "advanced" plants. I feel that co2 gets touted as a must have or a save all for beginners. To me its a waste of money unless you are growing extremely demanding plants.

2) Min/Maxing aquarium fertilizers, There are a lot of them on the market and they are advertised to save plants. Honestly you dont need them. What a majority of people need is a balanced, fully cycled tank with a general *simple* fertilizer like Leaf Zone. Again the advanced fertilizers, like co2, are for extremely demanding plants.

3) Cleaning your tank once a week. I talk about this alot, but if you have a planted aquascape that is set up as an eco system. *not a show tank, cichlid tank* you do not need to stress over cleaning it every week. Let it develop!

I hope you enjoy your day ❤️ be sure to tell someone you love them today!

What's your favorite type of algae? 😅

Technically I dont really like any algae but, if I had to pick one to deal with itd be hair algae ✨️

Its SO easy to remove, just grab a toothbrush, spin it in the hair algae then give it a little pull and its all gone 😊

Dont let algae get you down! It happens to everyone and its part of the natural eco system.

Just make sure your lights are on a 6-8 hour on schedule, control your feeding and always monitor your nitrate levels ❤️
